I love really good, action-packed gangster stories, and when I heard that Illegal Ambition is based on real people and events that took place inside Denver's violent organized crime underworld during the early 2000s, I knew I had to read it.My verdict: If you're a fan of modern gangster stories, Illegal Ambition is a must-read. It's an ever-twisting tale of murder and mayhem in Colorado's capital city, and it's damn hard to put down.
My understanding is that the author is almost done with a follow up book already, and that he is also working on an Illegal Ambition movie. I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for that, I'd love to see this story unfold on the big screen.
If you've got any gangster story fans on your holiday shopping list, you can't go wrong with Illegal Ambition.
